Career Guidance for Teenagers and their Parents

Is your teen confused about the future? As parents, we want to see our children achieve in life….whatever that may be.  However, it can be frustrating to both teen and parent when selecting subject options for NCEA that can affect future study. Whilst some teens have a strong idea of the career they wish to embark on when leaving school, it is true that the vast majority do not.  Adding to this is their limited knowledge of the varying degree of professions available.  Matrix Resources are based in Rotorua and work throughout the Bay of Plenty to offer both teenagers and their parents the tools required to assist with making decisions for the future.

The significance of career suggestions - Using advanced psychometric assessments to identify each person's interests, attitudes and motivations, Matrix Resources is then able to suggest individualised and tailored career options and courses. The outcome is that students and their parents are given realistic insights into accurate and relevant career information, including a cross section of professions – and as such become fully engaged with their careers guidance.

As is often the case with career guidance, once an individual has a vision of what they may wish to study, based on their actual interests, attitudes and motivations, then this will naturally lead to motivation in their course of learning, and subsequently the results required to achieve.

Ease of Use Utilising various psychometric tools, including the Learning Style Indicator (LSI) and the Occupational Interest Profile (OIP+), which are all completed on-line,  Matrix Resources then compile a detailed report based on the outcomes of these assessments.
